Engaging and informing students with disabilities: inclusiveness & information.

Abstract

This was the winning Poster at the LAI / CILIP Joint Conference 2019. Technology is transforming the way we all live our lives. Together we can enable people with disabilities to be independent through education, information & inclusion. This poster depicts under each letter of the alphabet the various types of disabilities and diseases people have to live with every day. To the right of this is some of the facilities and services we provide to all patrons within the AIT library. This information is depicted through the Irish Sign language. President Michael D Higgins signed the Irish Sign Language into law on 24th December 2017. Irish Sign Language is now an official language of Ireland
