dc.description.abstractIt is essential that people are educated in relation to the environment in order that sustainability is achieved. The younger that children are educated on these matters the greater the likelihood that it manifests itself in life-long positive actions towards the environment. The teaching o f science, which includes environmental awareness has become mandatory primary schools. This study researches the content o f the current curriculum as we ll as resources available to teachers in delivering this area o f the science curriculum. The curriculum is very comprehensive. There is a wealth o f resources available to schools including information from private companies, non-governmental agencies’ programmes and from environmentally aware individuals.en
